OOTD: JaneHudson (III)
If you've been checking the blog - you saw last week was the week of JaneHudson.
First I shared with you the "Betty" dress by our friend JaneHudson (again, your new favorite designer). Next was the "Dillon"...
And now the next style I'd like to introduce you to is the "Jennings".
It may be close to September...but it's still summer (I refuse to have anyone tell me differently). But summertime is perfect-time for that iconic nautical stripe top or dress, whether you're dreaming of a French cafe or enjoying a nice champagne by the beach (or going to your college football team's gameday)...
I remember growing up and loving those timeless images of Audrey Hepburn vacationing somewhere chic beyond my imagination and Brigitte Bardot soaking up the sun at a European beachside cafe...this dress brings me back to those images.
Anyway back to JaneHudson, I can't even attempt to play the game of favorites between these dresses...but this is by far my favorite to dress up. A pair of heels with a long necklace and clutch makes it perfect for anything from a quick business luncheon to a nice dinner with friends.
There are so many perks to this one - because it's also great with a pair of sneakers and a hat for gameday - after all we are TWO WEEKS away from the College Football season!!!
I love that this dress gives off more of a nautical vibe too (as I mentioned before). The nautical look seems to come in and out every summer since like, the 20's.
Just look at Ralph Lauren's 2016 Rio Olympics looks for Team USA...if that wasn't a sharp nautical look, I don't know what is.
Personally the nautical look is a travel staple for me. It's an easy and casual yet elegant look, sophisticated and super simple to dress up or down. The Jennings dress makes traveling even BETTER though because it has POCKETS!!! I know it seems like the silliest thing to get excited about but c'mon...finding a quality dress like this with pockets is hard to come by.
