UNICEF Hope Gala
I recently joined the UNICEF's Next Generation Chicago board. A friend of mine already on the board invited me to attend the Midwest Regional Office of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's 8th annual UNICEF’s Hope Gala on April 17, 2015.
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF's work, and other efforts in support of the world's children, through fundraising, advocacy and education in the United States.
UNICEF does whatever it takes to save and protect the world's most vulnerable children. Forty years ago, UNICEF figured out that promoting simple, low-cost interventions like hand washing and breastfeeding could save millions of lives. Undaunted by war or geography, UNICEF delivers.
The event was spectacular. It was breathtaking to see the amount of people that came out to support the cause, and UNICEF Hope Gala Co-Chairs, Bill Dietz and Miller Vance, along with many others, shared how they became involved with UNICEF. I was honored to be involved and left inspired. Click on the links find out more about UNICEF and UNICEF Next Generation. If you missed the event, don't worry! There will be many more....and you're always able to share your donation online here. Making a difference doesn't always require a donation, for more ways to help and make a difference click here.
